How I Read and “Digest” a Book

According to PEW Research's Book Reading Survey from 2021 , 75% of Americans have read a book in the last 12 months, and the typical (median) American reads 5 books per year, with 42% reading digital books. For a long time, I was lucky if I read one book in a year. In 2018, with the process I outlined below, I read 51 books, and since then, I have read 30+ books every year. This post shares that process and some background on how it came together.

Welcome to my website!

This website has been a thought in progress for many years.  I've wanted to create a place to share what I learn with others.  You always learn more when you teach what you've learned to others. I often find myself recommending products or processes I have put in place.  Ideas on this website are not necessarily the best way or the only way, but a way that has helped me.  I'm always iterating, trying to be better and I hope to keep the information on this site updated as I tweak my processes.   I don’t want this to be about me, but about helping others reach their full potential.  A co-worker once mentioned that he'd like to learn more of "Justin's life hacks" which was part of the inspiration for this website.   The mission of my site is to share my experiences to help others be the best version of themselves.
